Today we received notification of Planning Approval for this large detached house in Broughty ferry, Dundee. When competed the house will comprise 5 bedrooms, 3 public rooms, kitchen/dining, an office and a gym. The design includes an upper terrace to make the most of the site’s superb location, the views towards the River Tay Estuary.
We are about to make an application for both Full Planning Approval and Listed Building Consent for this house located within a Conservation Area in Dundee. The house comprises four bedrooms, study, kitchen and two public rooms and is orientated to make the most of the excellent views south from the site’s elevated position. It is intended to comprise a simple, traditional form but to be constructed ofmodern, lightweight and environmentally friendly materials.
Planning Approval has been granted for this five house development in Keith, Moray. We didn’t think it was possible to make such a hooha over the design of a driveway in an existing culdesac, but Moray Council managed it. However, after 8 months of negotiation, commonsense prevailed in the end.

The concept was a “New England” type of [...]

The house comprised four bedrooms and an open plan living/ dining/ kitchen on the upper [...]
We have been appointed by The Sanday Development Trust to prepare proposals for seven sites on Orkney for Sheltered Accommodation. It is anticipated that the developments will comprise a variety of sizes of accommodation with users with diverse needs, with the first showing a series of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom “cottages” all linked to a community hub and medical surgery. This will add to our portfolio of projects within the care industry and community projects. www.bruntondesign.com
This week we received notice that we have been Granted Planning Approval for the new showroom for Augustus Autos and we are delighted. This is a simple portal frame clad with standing seam metal sheets with large glass panes and a breis soleil. After positive discussions with the Planning Department, they agreed to support a design that had the physical appearance of an agricultural f arm building in the countryside, albeit it is to accommodate a sales area for high [...]
